Ballet Class

Libby started a ballet class at church with the co-op. It's so fun to see her in such a different setting that she's not used to. Sitting still with a bunch of other girls following instructions from a teacher that's not her Mom.
She loves it and has already learned a bunch! I went the first class and snapped a few pics, but I wish I had my camera on costume day, when they all got to where their new costumes they got for their recital in May. They were SO cute! I love this class and Christen McCuiston does a great job of leading them in a gentle manner.

Libby doing the circle dance (where they dance around the outside of the circle then do a curtsy and sit down).
 Woops, too far.
 Eleve's.
 Pop-up!
 Love this one!

A new Aunt!

Fixed Camera and Christmas
I finally got my camera fixed and am so excited to be taking pictures again! Hence the slew of blog posts. Time is so limited lately, especially time sitting at a computer desk! So I don't make it downstairs as often as I used to. Especially since I got an Ipad for Christmas! Thanks so much to my Mom and Dad! I now can check my email upstairs as well as look quick things up on the internet that I used to have to find time for downstairs.
Speaking of Christmas, I don't think I ever posted about how blessed we were this year. It was a great Christmas all around, for the kids and us, from both families. Thanks so much for your gifts everyone!
Matt got me a used piano and I love having it! It's pretty out of tune so my playing sounds pretty bad, but I'm just thankful to brush up on my playing skills! I love it, thanks Bub!
Matt and I decided this year to get each other a family gift instead of big gifts for each other. So we got an Xbox and Kinnect. I love it! Especially Zumba dance and Just Dance 2. I actually sweated off a few pounds with the Zumba fitness workout! And Matt loves playing NCAA Football 2011 in his spare time (ha, like that exists!). Unfotunately, I think I got the better end of the deal here. We also have a Just Dance for kids that Libby enjoys playing when I actually set it up for her. I'll have to do a video post of that when I get a chance.

Anyways, here are a couple of pics I took of Libby when I got my camera back. Snack time... eating yogurt. And still so beautiful!
 Love her!!

Wedding Prep/Rehearsal

We are so excited to welcome Meghan to our family. She is now a Carr! Woohoo! Libby was the flower girl and Matt was the best man. I was so glad to have my camera working to get some shots of the Rehearsal.

Here is Meghan's Aunt directing everyone what to do and where to go:
 Practicing the vows.

I think this one is so cute.
Here is a picture I was able to catch on the actual wedding day. Everything went according to plan and seemed to go so smooth! I'm sure that's due to much hard work that nobody ever saw.
 Aww, they're so in love!

 The proud parents.
The flower girl and ring bearer getting to know one another.
Rehearsal's can be so boring for kids. Thankfully they had a soccer ball to kick around.
And Ty, of course as congenial as ever, just crawled around on the floor looking absolutely adorable!
Practicing walking running down the aisle. We weren't sure how they would actually do the day of the wedding and they ended up doing great! The held hands and looked adorable walking down the aisle!
 Here comes the bride (practice).
Here comes the bride (for real!)

I'll post the rest of my wedding pics tomorrow.

Bathtime

Funny how different the second kid has it. Libby was definitely in some sort of constraint in the bath at Ty's age. He went right from the baby bath to the big bath. (Although I'm tempted to pull out the seat now that he tries to crawl all over the tub when Libby's not with him.)

Libby thinks it's great fun to have Ty in the bath with her. He's the best bath toy ever made!

The difference in these two's skin tones is great! They may get closer in the summer, but Ty has a darker, yellow-tinted skin tone and Libby has the nice white-pink tones. These pics don't do it justice.

My little man, with crazy eye brows. He's got some Irish man eyebrows that I have to try to keep in line.

Love his big blue eyes!
They love bathtime! And I love being able to throw them in together!

New Years Eve

We had a great New Years Eve hanging with a ton of people at Mom and Dad's house. There was a ping-pong tournament, board games, Rock Band, Wii Life, and lots of fellowship! Libby's friend Laurel (and Ty's friend Bill) came over with their family and everyone had a crazy good time. :)

Libby and Laurel

This is why I should blog right away, I don't even remember what they were dancing to here. How the Grinch Stole Christmas? Toddler Tunes? Anyway, they were dancing together and I think all the kiddos were up till midnight. Libby and Laurel tried to do a "sleepover" in Ben and Bri's bed, but ended up watching part of a movie and then coming back down. I think Annie was a good girl and went to sleep. And Hudson may have as well. I don't remember exactly. I just know Libby went a little crazy and got to see the ball drop. I'm surprised Matt and I even made it!

Everyone hanging out. Our cousins Johnny, Joey and Stephen were in with Uncle John and Aunt Donna from Florida. We had a great time with you guys and are so glad you came for a visit!

Libby's (Actual) Birthday and Ear Piercing

I'm discovering more every year that a birthday right after Christmas is very hard. Libby will probably grow up not knowing what day her actual birthday is! On her actual birthday this year we tried to make it special, so we took her to the mall to get her ears pierced and then a Build-A-Bear. Well, Build-A-Bear was closed due to a power outage (of all days?!), but the piercing place was open for business. Libby had been looking forward to getting her ears pierced ever since Annie got hers and we've been talking about it. I wasn't sure how this would turn out as 1. I have incredibly sensitive ears (or used to), so I thought Libby might have the same, 2. Libby is a DRAMA QUEEN!, and 3. She is VERY sensitive to pain. Well, better now than never so there we went.

Prepping the ears. This actually turned out to be the most dramatic part. Not sure if it was the stranger with gloves on that scared her or not, but the tears came then.

She did great and sat very still for the prep.
Love the tear glistening on her cheek in this one. So sad. :(
Daddy and Ty stayed on the outskirts of the show. Trying to "blend in" at Claire's! :)
How old are you now? She's got that one down.
We did both at once because I was sure if she knew what was coming, she'd never let them near the other ear. By the way, I never told her it was going to hurt. :) Didn't want her to flinch in preperation. Thought it might go smoother that way.

Ready.... And
OUCH!!  She actually only cried for a few minutes, then she was good. And didn't care at all when I cleaned them every day. I was totally surprised!

Love this pic! Thanks, Aunt Donna, for being my photographer for the event!

Afterwards at home. Showing off her earings. She loves showing everyone her ears now! So cute, I love it!
 Model pose.
 Attempt at a smile?

This girl has got some attitude and loves posing for the camera!

Christmas

Life is much busier with 2 kids! Hence the reason I am only now posting pics from Christmas. I didn't actually get any Christmas day as I took the day off from the camera to enjoy the time with family. I did video tape it, though.

Here is Christmas as Mammaw and Pappaws!

Excited about opening presents. Ty's first Christmas:

Hooray for cute winter gear! She loves the new hat and scarf. Wish we had the weather to actually have use for it this year!
Ty, who was by then sitting up and crawling, loved his new blocks! Definitely one of his favorite gifts! Thanks Uncle Andy and Aunt Meghan!

Libby got some new dress-up (her favorite thing to play). Snow White!
Of course she had to put it on. And of course she had to do some spins in her new dress!
 So beautiful!
