Dad's Birthday Dinner

Here are some pictures from my Dad's birthday (September 10). We had a family dinner.
Love this one!
Don't even know what to say about this one! :)

This was Scott's face in many of the picture. Don't know what that was all about.

I thought this one was cool!
50 years old!

Kissing picture!
50 candles!
Another cool pic! Boy, that's a lot of candles!

And another!
Counting out all 50 candles.

This is a cute one of Mom and Libby!
Libby had her first cake! She loved it, as you can see below!

Aunt Ashley's Birthday - Low Country Boil!

I'm still catching up on pictures! It will probably be a while because I still have several more sets to go through! For Ashley's 23rd Birthday party, they had everyone over for a low country boil (Thanks to Debra and Durie) and it was absolutely deliscious! In fact, thinking about it now makes me so hungry! A low country boil is where everything is cooked in one pot, then poured out on newspaper to enjoy - no utensils needed. Ours included corn, potatoes, sausage, shrimp and onion!
Here's a picture of the spread.

From the other side.
Birthday flowers! Beautiful!
I think Libby is trying to tell me something in the picture below. Scroll down to the bottom to see what we discovered!

Good finger-licking food!

Birthday girl and her hubby. Thanks, Scott, for making this happen!
How much is too much? Stuffed.
Here's what we discovered... Libby had another tooth! And on the top! It's in pretty good now, here is was just coming through. I was wondering about all the drooling and playing with her finger in her mouth. She loves to feel her teeth with her finger and her tongue, which sticks out a lot now!

Ah, good times, good friends, good food. Happy Birthday, Ash!

Libby's First Haircut

Libby got her first haircut earlier this month. After much ragging about her "mullet", I decided it was time to trim the scraggly edges. It's still pretty long, enough to put in pigtails, which is so cute but I don't have any recent pics of it. Here are some pictures of her first haircut!
She did great and was very excited to see what was going on. Matt did a good job keeping her attention forward.
Curious about what these things were that Mommy was using. Don't worry, they were snatched out of her hands before they were even off the chair! :)

The damage.

My first UT game and Great Grandparents 60th Anniversary

I've got a lot to catch up on! We've been very busy the last couple of weeks. Lots going on! Although I have to admit, even when we're not busy elsewhere, there's always grocery shopping, coupon clipping, meal planning, house cleaning, etc., etc. to work on. I'll try to post my pics in groups of two events each to save me some time and to split it up.
We had a bunch of people over for the first University of Tennessee game (which was great!) It was fun, especially becuase there were a bunch of kiddos there! Libby was routing for the Vols... Go Big Orange!! and was toting her little cheer leading outfit from Grammy.
She made such a funny face in this first pic, I couldn't help but post it!

Go VOLS!!

Riding on Daddy's shoulder
Giving Lucy kisses, or trying to slow her down. :)

Lucy and Libby had a race. Libby crawls on her knees, Lucy scootches on her tummy, but I must say, she is VERY fast!
Looking cute in orange

Some of the kiddos in a group shot. From left to right (Braden, Gavin (bottom left),Libby, Reese, Canon and Sadie)
All the kids (London and Phoebe, Gavin, Braden, Libby, Reese, Canon and Sadie)
Earlier this month (or maybe end of last month) we went up to Matt's parent's house to celebrate Matt's grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary (way to go! Congrats!) As much as I love outdoor and nature shots, you know I couldn't pass this up... flowers just after the rain!
Beautiful yellow rose bud
I'm not sure what kind of flower these are, maybe Impatients?

The cake.
The young couple. :)
Great Mamma and Libby, I love this shot!
While we were there, the neighboring cows got in the yard, notice Gunner trying to chase them off. They didn't listen so he came back to get help.
A little human intervention and they were gone, with Gunny at their heels.

That's it for now. I'll post more later, or tomorrow.

Another tooth! and Labor Day

Well, I'm very sad to say that Libby is now getting her first top tooth. :( I'm so sad for her to lose her gummy smile! The bottom teeth weren't so bad as she usually smiles so you can see the top gums, but this is a very sad day for me as I don't want to lose my baby! I just discovered the tooth as we were celebrating Ashley's birthday (I'll post picutres from that in another post) on Sunday. It's already made it's way through her gums! And I didn't even know it!

Oh well, she's still a cutie! Here are some pictures of a fun day on the lake on Labor Day. Our frineds, Ryan and Allyson, were gracious to invite us out with them on their boat. It turned out to be a beautiful day dispite the forecast.

Libby having a great time!
Matt and Libby going for a little swim. The lifejacket actually works!

Libby had her first tubing experience! Josh with his little girl Lucy on the right and Matt and Libby on the left.
She had a good time. :)

I'll post some more pictures (they're getting backed up) from my new camera, but these were just a few from our older camera that I brought out on the boat that were easy to upload.
